Would you believe my husband's name: Michael? It generally comes out Michela or something along that line. I suppose that I just type to fast for my own good.

Isn't it great we can run things under the spell check on Word?

But what if we lived in this place:

Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu

(Longest officially recognized place name)

The longest word in any of the major English language dictionaries is pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, a 45-letter word which refers to a lung disease contracted from the inhalation of very fine silica particles specifically from a volcano.

So must I say, when you can spell words at that length, you're a genuis, sadly a lot of us aren't so its back to the spellchecker.

That's right Jephth, how many people would go too close to a volcano and inhale the particles?

Anyhow back on topic, who has trouble with:

adviser/advisor
"Adviser" is preferred although both are correct.

affect/effect
"To affect" means (1) to influence, change or produce an effect; (2) to like to do, wear or use; or (3) to pretend. "To effect" means to accomplish, complete, cause, make possible or carry out

allusion/illusion
An "allusion" is an indirect reference. An "illusion" is a false impression or image.

disinterested/uninterested
"Disinterested" means impartial. "Uninterested" means someone lacks interest.

I am the first to raise my hand for incorrectly using terms, that mean something else.
