I would like to have a calendar to which my users can add special events and dates to and they would show up below under the stats area is that possible already or would it be in the works for the future.

This has been requested in the past and deemed uneccessary as there are many free calendars out there which can be utilized on your portal.

Do a Google search for "free calendar for forum" or something similar and you'll find one.
