You will have to explain in a bit more detail. What server, where and for what?

First of all if you would have included the URL to your boards as we ask - it sometimes makes addressing support requests a little more effective when we know where to go.

It has been my experience that status indicators like what I think you are describing, requires javascript. Since I cannot see your site - I cannot determine if you qualify for a javascript exemption or not - the Administrator has established prerequisites relevant to board activity in determining the availability of javascript in the portals. You are always free to request javascript exemption - the Administrator is very generous typically in my experience with these requests.

In the event I am mistaken and javascript is not required to faciltate the display of the status of your server, Jephth, is certainly the one to advise you of that fact. An additional tool that you have available that I have found useful is the source code capability built into your browser. Find a site that already has the capability that you are seeking and review it's source code as a model to provide direction in configuring your own.

This will require that the remote server/service has a method of displaying server status. Two possible options that can be integrated into your portal are Flash or Javascript modules. You will have to obtain an HTML block from your server/service which can display the remote server status.
