This month we've completed a series of updates that are designed to help reduce spam registrations and assist forum admins in dealing with spam and spammers.
- All ForumWise forums are now protected by exclusive modifications to the registration system which make it incompatible with automated spamming software, resulting in greatly reduced commerical spam registrations without the need for the problematic visual confirmation security-code system.
- Cleaning-up a spam attack by trouble-makers is no longer a slow tedious job. Remove a member and all their spam posts with just a few clicks with the new delete options in User Admin -> Management.
- In unusual circumstances, like a spam attack, forum admins may want to temporarily suspend registrations. See General Admin -> Configuration for the disable registrations switch.
