Url Change Requests

Admins can request that their url be changed providing that this privilege is not overly requested.

When considering an url change remember that upon the switch over, any internal link/reference ever made on your boards by members will become redundant and any old posts containing such links could become very unattractive.

Only do this if

a) You have very few of these old links flying around
b) You are positive it doesn't matter

Also remember that anything aside from that which is automatically generated, such as the content of any custom HTML modules and/or forum description fields, may also become redundant and a re-adminstration of these areas may need to be addressed.

I will also add:

BEFORE requesting your URL change, please update the TITLE of your forum to reflect the new name.

AFTER recieving your URL change, consider a Mass Mailing to your members to notify them of the new location.

Also please do not request a new access name that includes dashes, dots or underscores. Only letters and numbers are supported.

Please create a new thread in the main Support forum for your url change request.

If I have a url and a name change would it affect photos as well.
the photos were uploaded in photobucket.

Also, before it happens, do not post a thread move request in this thread or in anyone else's thead. Create your own new thread in the support forum to be sure your request is processed as quickly as possible.

someone change it but it wasn't done right.
